This is a situation that has clearly grown over the past few months, and unfortunately it has reached a head. We were unable to effectively moderate a community within our Discord, thus we have decided that as of today, May 17th, 2021, we are deleting the server. Thank you to all those that enjoyed themselves for taking part and providing the inspiration to create the Workshops we have today. Dear Sodor Workshops Discord Members, All of us at Sodor Workshops are sorry. The amount of support and encouragement you have provided for our creations is immeasurable. While the Sodor Workshops Discord is closing for the foreseeable future, we will forever cherish the fun and good times had over these four years. Thomas Gordon James Spencer Sir Topham Hatt Edward (cameo) Henry (cameo) Percy (cameo) Douglas (cameo) Emily (cameo) Annie and Clarabel (cameo) Michael Brandon: It was a sunny day on the Island of Sodor and all the. We want to thank everyone that has participated in the Workshops server for the past four years, ranging from screenshots in Trainz to your creations in 3D Modelling. Sodor Workshops started as a small group of friends coming together to make Thomas content for fun amongst ourselves, and then sharing that fun with the community. While our interest in Thomas has waned, we still enjoy it as a hobby/interest, and we will still be coming out with new content in future. However, we are NOT CLOSING THE WEBSITE or DELETING OUR CONTENT. Most of us have moved on to other priorities and interests, so it is with a heavy heart we are closing the Discord. It would be unfair to the community to continue the server when we have repeatedly failed to provide improvements. We began to neglect our responsibilities as a moderation team when we became more and more preoccupied with external issues, and Thomas as a hobby had become less of a priority for a majority of the staff. Within those four years, our server has grown to an exponential scale that has proven too large for us to handle.
When the Sodor Workshops Discord started four years ago, we strived to foster a camaraderie focused on Thomas in Trainz. Several of our moderators have also acted out of line in responding to users within our Discord which is unacceptable. We realise there should have been clearer guidelines for deciding what constitutes punishment.
Once you are on, never stop at only searching sodor workshops twitter, please look for any job you want, for both you and your friends and anyone. With our restructure, we were still incapable of moderating a server by not having consistency between punishments toward different users and not having enough moderation to watch over the server. By searching sodor workshops twitter on Ecityworks, not only can you save time on job seeking but also can find the most satisfactory job.
